Hi Friends, today we are going to make healthy poha kebabs. It is made with very less oil and provides a new twist and tasty way to eat poha.
Try it with kids.....i hope they would love it. You add more vegetables in it as per your like.
INGREDIENTS:
- Poha - 1 cup
- Carrot - 2 (grated )
- Boiled green pea - 1/2 cup
- Boiled potato- 2 ( mashed )
- Green chili copped - 1 or 2
- Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp (chopped )
- Roasted peanuts - 1/2 cup ( crushed )
- Red chili powder - as per taste
- Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
- Chaat masala - 1 tsp
- Salt - as per taste
- Oil - for greasing
METHOD:
- In a sieve place the beaten rice (poha ) and wash for a few second . keep it aside.
- Keep some poha aside, we will use it for coating later.
- In mixing bowl add all the ingredient and mix well. Don't mix hard else the material will become mushy. Leave a bit of crunchiness in it.
- Divided the mixture into equal parts and make round balls (or any shape you want ). Press it a bit with your palm to flatten it. ( to make it like a tikki)
- Now coat these tikkis with poha, this will make kebab more crispy on outside.
- Heat a non stick tava , grease it with little oil and cook till they are brown in colour from both sides.
- Poha kebab is ready to serve.
- Serve with green chutney or sauce.
