In search of a new taste tried to make these biscuits with simple ingredients fennel seeds, cardamom and coconut.. Hope you would like it.

INGREDIENTS:
- Whole wheat flour - 1/2 cup
- All purpose flour (maida) - 1/2 cup
- Granulated sugar - 1 tbsp
- Powder sugar - 2 tbsp
- Coarsely grinded fennel seeds (sauf) - 1.5 tsp
- Chilled Butter - 50gm
- Milk - 1/2 tbsp
- Coconut powder - 2 tbsp
- Butter should be chilled. Cut it in to the small pieces.
- Milk is needed just to bind the dough.
- take out a bit of coconute powder, fennel seeds powder and sugar. This would be used for garnishing.
- Keep fennel seed powder coarse.
METHOD:
- Take a mixing bowl mix all the ingredients. First mix the butter, it would being to look like breadcrumbs. Add little milk to make a soft dough.
- Make small balls of oval shape from the dough.
- Now make mixture of coconut powder, sauf and sugar separately. This is for garnishing.
- At the top of cookies milk wash and stick some mixture made above on it.
- Preheat the oven at 170c for 10 min.arrange the biscuits in greased baking tray giving some space between them.
- Bake the biscuits for around 15 to 20 mins. Keep an eye on it.
- As biscuits begin to turn brown switch off the bottom rod. Start only top rod for a minute when biscuits top look brown switch off the oven and take them out .
- Let it cool down completely on the cooling rack.
- Enjoy the new taste :)
