Ingredients:
- All purpose flour(maida) - 1 cup
- Desiccated coconut powder -1/2 cup
- Powder sugar - 1/2 cup
- Ghee or butter - 1/2 cup
- Baking powder - 1 1/2 tsp
- Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- Milk - 2 tbsp
Note : Start the oven at 160 c for 10 mins to pre heat it.
- Take a big bowl add melted butter (it should be normal temperature not hot or warm) now add powder sugar and mix well.
- Keep stirring till the mixture appears white, smooth and fluffy then add vanilla extract and desiccated coconut powder.
- Mix it well after that add all purpose flour and baking powder and mix it thoroughly. Keep stirring till all the ingredients mix properly.
- Now we will knead the dough for biscuits. Keep adding little milk to it and knead the dough.
- When dough have same consistency and it is neither hard nor soft it means this is ready. Keep caution while adding milk.....if you add more milk the dough would be too thin for baking.
- After that make small dumbbells of dough of same size. You can choose whatever shape you like....keep in mind after baking it will settle so a dumbbell size would give long flatted biscuits while a spherical one would give regular round biscuits.
- Take the milk in a bowl and just dip the dumbbells in it and coat them with Desiccated coconut powder . prepare all the dumbbells same way.
- Now we would ready the oven for baking. Grease the baking tray and put the all dumbbells on the tray.
- Keep enough distance as they will settle after baking. Bake at 160 c for about 20 to 25 min. Check biscuits if they are turning light brown, they are baked. Take out the tray and allow to completely cool down.
Note : I added a little red food color in it......please add / not add as per your choice.
